Burkina Faso: A welcome measure for users, legalisation now possible on saturdays in Ouagadougou

The Burkinabe authorities have just taken a concrete step to bring public administration closer to its citizens. It is now possible to have administrative documents legalized even on Saturdays in Ouagadougou. This initiative from the National Police demonstrates its commitment to improving service quality and adapting to people’s lifestyles.

According to the official announcement, this measure applies to the Central Police Commissioner’s office (CCPO) as well as to all district police commissioner’s offices (CPA) in the capital.

Through this decision, the National Police aims to offer greater scheduling flexibility to all users, particularly public and private sector workers, who are often tied up by professional obligations during the standard workweek.

This Saturday opening for the legalization service addresses a genuine need. Indeed, many citizens previously faced strict administrative deadlines, with no possibility of having their documents legalized before submitting important applications, whether for competitive exams, tenders, or various administrative procedures.

Thanks to this new measure, users can now plan ahead and submit their files on Monday morning without any constraints.

Beyond mere convenience, this initiative reflects the drive to modernize and make Burkinabe public services more user-friendly.

It aligns with the momentum imparted by the authorities to make the administration more accessible, more efficient, and more service-oriented.

Through this act, the National Police also demonstrates significant social awareness, showing it is in tune with the daily realities of Burkinabe people.

By adapting its schedule to the public’s availability, it strengthens trust between citizens and institutions, while also helping to reduce bureaucracy and streamline administrative procedures.

This decision, welcomed by many users, signals a new vision for public service, one centered on citizen satisfaction. It could, moreover, inspire other administrative bodies to follow suit by adopting more flexible hours tailored to users’ needs.

With this practical and humane measure, Burkina Faso takes a new step towards a modern, accessible, and people-oriented administration, where every initiative aims to improve the daily lives of its citizens.
