Burkina-Faso: Captain Ibrahim Traoré reaffirms his vision of the sovereignty, security and sustainable development of Faso

On the occasion of the third anniversary of the rise of Captain Ibrahim Traoré to power, the Head of State held a meeting with the Burkinabe press, marking a turning point in the political trajectory of Burkina Faso. Through his statements, the President reaffirmed his clear and resolute vision for the nation: that of a sovereign, secure country committed to sustainable development based on its own resources and the unity of its people.

In the face of security challenges and regional instability, the President called for collective mobilization and the cultivation of national resilience, founded on the courage, solidarity, and engagement of every Burkinabe citizen.

This approach reflects a determination to make security everyone’s business, guided by a logic of popular defense and social cohesion.

Furthermore, the President insisted on the necessity of promoting local initiatives, valuing community knowledge, and stimulating the endogenous economy.

Sustainable development must be based on Burkina Faso’s capacity to produce, process, and consume locally, in line with a vision of economic sovereignty and social justice.

This speech serves as a reminder that building the nation cannot be achieved without collective courage and citizen engagement.

It outlines an ambitious national project where every Burkinabe is called upon to become an agent of change, an artisan of peace, and a builder of the future.

On the diplomatic front, cooperation among the countries of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) is also highlighted as a strategic lever.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré sees this alliance as an opportunity to pool efforts, strengthen regional capacities, and build a diplomacy based on common interests and mutual respect.

This regional vision is part of a quest for strategic autonomy, free from external influences.
