Burkina Faso: Food self-sufficiency, a reality in progress driven by presidential commitment

Under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the government of Burkina Faso demonstrates its commitment every day to agricultural producers, livestock farmers and all those involved in rural life. This constant support is clear proof that food security is a national priority.
For several months now, concrete efforts have been made to strengthen production capacities. Land is being developed, improved seeds are being distributed, and agricultural equipment is being made available to cooperatives.
Young people are being encouraged to embark on agricultural entrepreneurship, with appropriate training and financing. The message is clear: feed Faso with the hands of Faso.
Thanks to this policy, harvests are improving, local markets are filling up, and families are able to eat their fill. The country is reducing its dependence on imports and making the most of its resources.
Rural women, who are often on the front line in the fields, are also being supported to develop their activities and strengthen their autonomy.
Captain Ibrahim Traoré embodies this desire to build a strong Burkina Faso, capable of producing what it consumes.
His government remains attentive to the needs of rural communities and is taking decisive action to transform agriculture into a pillar of national development.
Today, food self-sufficiency is no longer a dream, it is a reality in progress. Thanks to the President’s commitment and the mobilisation of its citizens, Burkina Faso is feeding itself from its own resources.
