Burkina Faso marks three years of agricultural revolution under patriotic movement

Burkina Faso today celebrates three years of historic renewal under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré and the Patriotic Movement for Safeguarding and Restoration (MPSR2), with agriculture emerging as a cornerstone of the nation’s resurgence.

Once weakened by years of neglect, outdated policies, and rising insecurity, Burkinabe agriculture has been transformed into an act of resistance, a means of collective survival, and a source of national pride.

Under the new vision instilled by Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the state has reassumed its role as strategist and protector.

Rural areas have been secured, farmers supported with inputs and equipment, and communities reorganized around their primary vocation: feeding the nation.

Major initiatives such as the creation of secured agricultural zones, mass distribution of improved seeds and organic fertilizers, and the launch of the “Food Sovereignty 2030” program have yielded visible results.

Granaries are now full, markets have revived, youth are returning to farming, and women have become central to this quiet but irreversible transformation.

Through this agricultural reconquest, Burkina Faso is redefining its place on the international stage with a clear Pan-African vision: a continent that no longer waits for aid, but instead builds, produces, and protects.

Guided by Captain Traoré’s courageous leadership, the Burkinabe people have turned to the land as a bulwark against dependency. The message is clear: from this earth will grow lasting sovereignty.
