Burkina Faso/ Diplomacy: Ibrahim Traoré receives the President of the sovereign fund of the Sultanate of Oman

The President of Faso, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, granted an audience on this Wednesday august 27th to His Excellency Abdulsalam Bin Mohammad Al Murshidi, Chairman of the High Authority of the Sovereign Fund of the Sultanate of Oman, at the head of a large delegation. This meeting demonstrates the common desire to strengthen economic ties and promote strategic investments in Burkina Faso.

The discussions between the Head of State and his hosts focused on the investment opportunities offered by the Omani Sovereign Fund in various sectors of the Burkinabe economy.

Emphasis was placed on promising areas such as energy, infrastructure, agriculture and mining, considered as major levers for transformation and sustainable development.

Through this audience, President Ibrahim Traoré reaffirmed the availability and openness of Burkina Faso to welcome structuring partnerships capable of supporting the sovereignist vision and the ongoing refoundation dynamics in the country.

The Head of State insisted on the need to build balanced cooperation, based on mutual respect and shared interest.

For his part, the President of the sovereign fund of Oman praised the resilience and determination of the Burkinabe people in their quest for development and economic sovereignty.

He expressed his institution’s willingness to identify concrete and viable projects, in order to contribute to the social progress and prosperity of Burkina Faso.
