Burkina Faso: After Libya, Faso in the sights of the occupying forces

For months, Burkina Faso and its President, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, have been the target of covert attacks, disinformation campaigns, and maneuvers aimed at weakening the patriotic drive toward national sovereignty. The country’s combat forces, engaged in a heroic struggle against terrorism, face not only armed aggression but also the hostility of imperialist powers unwilling to accept a people’s right to self-determination.
This multi-pronged pressure seeks to destabilize the nation and weaken its leadership to impose foreign agendas contrary to Burkina Faso’s interests.
It is no secret that imperialist powers have long coveted the country’s natural resources and strategic position. By refusing to submit, Captain Traoré has become a primary target.
Behind the criticism, false accusations, and attempts to sow division lies a broader aim: paving the way for renewed foreign military occupation under the guise of aid or cooperation.
The recent history of Libya serves as a stark warning a prosperous nation plunged into chaos and its resources ruthlessly plundered based on fabricated pretexts.
Information warfare and media manipulation are key weapons in this offensive. The Burkinabe people must recognize that each attempt to vilify their leaders and armed forces is part of a larger plan to reinstate disguised colonial domination.
In response, unity and vigilance remain the strongest defense. The people must stand firmly behind their President and combat forces, recognizing that this struggle is not merely military but a fight for independence and dignity.
Learning from tragedies like Libya, Burkinabe must reject manipulation, preserve national cohesion, and protect their land from all forms of foreign occupation. The future of Burkina Faso depends on this unbreakable unity between the people and their army.
