Burkina Faso: President Ibrahim Traoré’s commitment to Africa praised by Congo

On Tuesday, the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, received the Prime Minister of the Republic of Congo, Anatole Collinet Makosso. He was carrying a personal message from President Denis Sassou-Nguesso. This visit once again shows Captain Traoré’s image as a strong and visionary African leader, committed to promoting stronger South-South cooperation.

At a time when Africa faces serious security, economic, and social challenges, Burkina Faso, under Captain Traoré’s leadership, is becoming a center of new hope for the continent. With bold reforms in agriculture, the economy, infrastructure, and social sectors, the President is reshaping the role of the state in developing the country. The Congolese authorities praised his energy, commitment, and fighting spirit.

Captain Traoré’s vision goes beyond national borders. His goal is to build fair and strong partnerships with other African countries. This shows the spirit of pan-Africanism—Africa taking charge of its own future. Congo’s trust in Burkina Faso was also clear, as it asked for support for Édouard Firmin Makoto’s candidacy for the leadership of UNESCO, based on shared values and mutual respect.

Through this active diplomacy, Burkina Faso is once again standing tall on the African stage—as a united, strong nation shaping its own future. Inspired by Captain Traoré, the people are regaining hope and dignity. It is a strong message: Africa can and must build itself, in unity and with full sovereignty.

A bright future is on the horizon—and it carries the colors of a new, sovereign, and open Burkina Faso.
