International: Israeli Forces kill dozens in Gaza Aid Queue attack

Gaza health authorities report at least 51 Palestinians dead and over 200 wounded after Israeli troops opened fire near a food distribution point in Khan Younis. Witnesses described chaotic scenes as thousands gathered for flour from a World Food Programme site when tank shells and drone strikes hit the crowd.

The Hamas-run civil defense agency accused Israeli forces of directly targeting civilians.

The Israeli military acknowledged reviewing reports of casualties after “a crowd approached troops near a stuck aid truck,” but provided no further details.

Nasser Hospital, already strained by weeks of bombardment, struggled to handle the influx of casualties, with wounded patients lining floors as doctors worked.

The attack marks one of the deadliest incidents in a pattern of violence around Gaza’s dwindling aid distribution points.

UN Human Rights Chief Volker Türk condemned Israel’s conduct, stating its military operations inflict “unconscionable suffering” and accusing it of weaponizing hunger.

The incident follows repeated UN warnings of famine in northern Gaza, where Israeli restrictions have severely limited food and medical aid.
