Burkina Faso: Captain Ibrahim Traore, a President who is changing his country

Since becoming President, Captain Ibrahim Traoré has chosen to do things differently. He no longer wants Burkina Faso to depend on foreign countries. His goal is for the Burkinabe people to take control of their own destiny and benefit from the wealth of their land.
In the past, foreign companies exploited the country’s gold, land, and other valuable resources. Today, the government wants these riches to serve the people first. This approach is helping Burkina Faso become stronger and more self-reliant.
President Ibrahim Traoré has also transformed the country’s approach to agriculture. Agriculture is now at the heart of development. The state supports farmers with new tools, training programs, and encourages the consumption of local products. The goal is for Burkina Faso to produce enough food for its population without relying on imports.
This path is not without challenges. The country faces serious problems such as insecurity, pressure from foreign powers, and even attempts at economic blockade. Yet, despite these obstacles, Captain Ibrahim Traoré continues to work for the good of the people. He refuses to let foreign powers dictate what he should do.
While previous governments failed to move the country forward, President Ibrahim Traoré has laid the foundations for a new Burkina Faso: stronger, more independent, and future-focused.
Today, his leadership is being recognized across Africa and among Africans in the diaspora. Many see him as a symbol of courage, integrity, and vision. For a growing number of young Africans, he represents the hope of a free continent—standing tall and proud of its values.
