Togo honours eight distinguished Personalities in commemoration of Late President Eyadéma

In a solemn ceremony marking the anniversary of the passing of former Togolese President Gnassingbé Eyadéma, revered as the father of the nation, President Faure Gnassingbé decorated eight individuals for their unwavering dedication and loyalty to the country.
The honors, which included the Grand Cross of the Order of Mono, Commanders of the Order of Mono, and Knights of the Order of Mono, were bestowed in recognition of their significant contributions to national development across various sectors.
The recipients, all Togolese nationals, were celebrated for their roles in advancing key areas such as defense and security, digital transformation, and the promotion of republican values.
Among the honorees were four traditional leaders, elevated to the rank of Knights of the Order of Mono.
These chiefs were acknowledged for their efforts in preserving cultural heritage, fostering social cohesion, driving community development, and upholding the principles of the republic.
Their work in maintaining peace and unity, as well as their contributions to national progress, was highlighted as exemplary.
