Burkina Faso/Peace effort: Burkina Faso’s people continue to support and participate in the fight against terrorism

The people of Burkina Faso continue to demonstrate unwavering solidarity and support for those fighting on the frontlines to restore peace, security, and stability—essential pillars for the nation’s development and prosperity. This collective effort reflects a shared commitment to building a better future for current and upcoming generations.

Inspired by President Ibrahim Traoré’s call for nationwide mobilization against the forces threatening the country, contributions pour in daily from citizens and institutions alike.

One such act of generosity comes from the special delegation of the urban commune of Pô, located in the Nahouri province within the Centre-Sud region.

This local delegation extended vital assistance to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in their area, offering a donation of fuel worth 200,000 CFA francs. This contribution acknowledges the sacrifices and dedication of these brave individuals, ensuring they have the resources needed to continue their mission.

The fuel donation is particularly crucial for facilitating patrols aimed at protecting the population and securing the region.

Across the country, the combined efforts of the armed forces, supported by auxiliary groups and the courageous VDP, are creating safer environments for communities.

These efforts enable citizens to go about their lives and livelihoods in peace. At the same time, the support of the population remains an indispensable factor in achieving long-term security and stability.
