Alphonso Davies: A Night out ends with Police intervention
Alphonso Davies, the versatile left-back for Bayern Munich, found himself in the headlines for reasons unrelated to football. German outlet Bild reported that the Canadian international was stopped by police early Thursday morning at 2:15 AM while driving a black Lamborghini Urus.
During the routine stop, officers reportedly detected a strong smell of alcohol. Davies, who was behind the wheel, was taken to the station for a breathalyzer test, which revealed a blood alcohol level of 0.6 g/L.
Following the incident, a friend of the player was called to retrieve the vehicle. The Bayern Munich club has declined to comment on the matter, but Davies is expected to face a fine of €500 and a one-month driving suspension.
This episode adds an unwelcome off-pitch distraction for the 24-year-old, who is under contract with Bayern until 2025 and has been linked to a potential move to Real Madrid in recent months.
