AES Confederation: Digital Week, President Ibrahim TRAORE gets involved

President Ibrahim Traoré of Burkina Faso has placed digital technology at the heart of his development strategy, emphasizing its role in achieving national sovereignty and economic growth. His administration has directed relevant authorities to take concrete steps toward realizing this vision, which aligns with broader goals of the AES Confederation.

As part of Digital Week in Ouagadougou, ministers responsible for digital economy from AES member states met with President Traoré on November 14.

During the discussions, the president underscored the importance of leveraging digital tools as drivers of development and urged swift action to digitize public administration services.

According to him, digitalization is a key strategy for combating corruption and fostering transparency within member nations.

President Traoré, along with his counterparts in Mali and Niger, remains committed to initiatives that secure national sovereignty and improve the well-being of citizens.

His leadership style, characterized by bold reforms and patriotic governance, has set an example across Africa.

Since assuming office, Traoré has focused on dismantling outdated systems that have hindered progress and replacing them with innovative approaches tailored to modern challenges.

His push for digital transformation aligns with his broader fight against the structural barriers impeding development in the Liptako-Gourma region. Digital technology, he believes, is a critical tool for building resilient and self-sufficient nations.
