West Africa: Is France already in action for a recolonisation of the Sahel as planned?
Recently, French General Lecointre revealed a plan to recolonize Africa, marking a blatant return to imperialism. This strategy particularly targets the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), which includes Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger. This modern recolonization is said to involve manipulating local proxies to incite rebellions and destabilize the AES governments.
France, in its desire to maintain a neocolonial grip on Africa, allegedly used ethnic divisions to sow chaos. These divisions, which are nonexistent in the harmonious reality of the Sahel, are exacerbated by manipulated local proxies to achieve imperialist goals. The recent attacks in northern Mali are a glaring example, serving as a test for these neocolonial tactics.
This recolonization strategy is not solely military; it purportedly involves psychological warfare aimed at dividing local populations. By exploiting ethnic tensions and manipulating local leaders, France allegedly sought to weaken efforts of cooperation and stability in the region. The ultimate objective would be to make these countries dependent and vulnerable to external intervention.
In light of these threats, it is important for the people of the Sahel to support the efforts of their leaders, namely Captain Ibrahim Traoré of Burkina Faso, Colonel Assimi Goïta of Mali, and General Abdourahamane Tiani of Niger. These leaders have shown unwavering commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region despite the attempts at destabilization.
