Ligue 1: Olympique de Marseille, the eight other unwanted players, Finally pushed out

The downsizing is not yet complete at Olympique de Marseille, which has identified eight players who are expected to leave the club. Olympique de Marseille and Roberto De Zerbi aim to change, barring any surprises, the starting eleven from last season. With several key players already gone, the club has pinpointed eight more players who are likely to pack their bags and leave the Vélodrome before the transfer window closes.

Determined to clear out its locker room before the new season, Olympique de Marseille is sparing no effort to achieve its goals. Apart from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who signed with Al-Qadsiah in Saudi Arabia, and Iliman Ndiaye, who signed with Everton FC in the Premier League, OM has managed to release several unwanted players. These include Pape Gueye, Vitinha, Joaquin Correa, Jean Onana, and Konrad de la Fuente.

But it’s not over yet, as the club’s management wants to part ways with several other players they no longer count on, according to La Provence. According to the regional media, there are a total of eight players the club wants to offload before the end of the transfer window.

These include Jonathan Clauss, who is linked with Nice, Jordan Veretout, Samuel Gigot, Chancel Mbemba, Pau Lopez, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Ulisses Garcia, and Azzedine Ounahi. The latter has recently been associated with Betis Sevilla. However, OM wants €12 million to sell the former Angers player.

Ulisses Garcia, on the other hand, is unhappy with the attitude of his managers. The Swiss defender complains that he has lost his momentum, his reputation built in Switzerland, and his place in the national team, all due to his six months at OM. Meanwhile, Pau Lopez, linked with Como, has not yet signed.
