Mali / Digital revolution under Colonel Assimi Goïta: Towards transparent and efficient public revenue management

In his quest to reform public finances and ensure a fair distribution of state resources, Mali’s Transition President, Colonel Assimi Goïta, recently led a significant ceremony in Koulouba. This event marked the beginning of digitizing payment methods and public services in Mali. Citizens can now use their mobile phones to pay for essential services such as identity cards, police fines, and civil status documents.

During the ceremony, Colonel Assimi Goïta performed the symbolic first click, inaugurating this new digital era in Bamako. The system will gradually be rolled out across all regions of the country and in diplomatic missions abroad. Over time, it will include all public services, such as taxes and public procurement.

This digital initiative represents a crucial step toward greater transparency in administrative processes and strengthens public trust in the government. It also aims to effectively combat fraud, corruption, nepotism, and document falsification. By making public services more accessible and simplifying administrative procedures, Mali provides its citizens with user-friendly, fast, and transparent digital services, regardless of their location.

Under Colonel Assimi Goïta’s leadership, Mali is moving towards a more efficient and fair management of its resources, ensuring better distribution of wealth and a notable improvement in the quality of public services.
