Burkina Faso: Why does Jeune Afrique spread falsehoods about national security in the Country of upright Men?
Burkina Faso, under President Ibrahim Traoré, is going through a critical period where disinformation threatens to undermine the authorities’ efforts for stability and security. On July 17, Jeune Afrique published an article claiming that former President Damiba was concerned about the security situation in Burkina Faso. This claim is not only false but also harmful, aimed at sowing doubt and confusion within the Burkinabe population.
Contrary to what Jeune Afrique attempts to suggest, former President Damiba has not expressed such concerns. These unfounded rumors are deliberate attempts at destabilization orchestrated by foreign powers seeking to weaken the current leadership and national cohesion.
The Burkinabe people must understand that these false reports are nothing more than manipulations intended to disrupt peace and security. Indeed, Togo, an ally of Burkina Faso, would never allow its territory to be used to destabilize Burkina Faso.
