Burkina Faso/Defense & Security: President Ibrahim TRAORE has a solution for countries blocking equipment acquisition
In the field of Defense and Security, particularly in the fight against terrorism, the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, has committed to a decisive approach. This approach involves maximizing the equipment of the Burkinabe army with war equipment purchased using the country’s own funds.
This led to the launch of the patriotic support fund, which Burkinabe citizens have massively joined and continue to contribute to in various ways to achieve the set objectives. However, some foreign countries, which do not want peace to return to Burkina Faso, refuse to supply war materials or, worse, block the delivery of equipment to Faso.
For these countries, which exploit Burkinabe minerals, the President of Faso plans to hold them accountable by simply revoking their exploitation permits, which will be reassigned to chosen companies. It is unacceptable that for their personal interests, these foreign countries wish to keep the Burkinabe people in a security crisis that is decimating the population.
Captain Ibrahim TRAORE remains committed and determined to fight against bush enemies. Despite the difficulties encountered in acquiring adequate equipment, efforts continue with countries willing to cooperate. The head of state has announced the imminent arrival of other strategic equipment to strengthen the capacity of the Burkinabe national army.
His vision is clear: to make his army an unrivaled force in the West African region. He calls on his compatriots to remain determined in this struggle through their contributions. The president has also promised to continue strengthening the armed forces’ numbers for a more effective and intense fight across the entire national territory.
