Togo: Education, One of the pillars of president Faure Gnassingbé’s vision

Education occupies a central place in President Faure Gnassingbé’s vision for the development of Togo. As part of his initiatives to promote a more equitable and prosperous society, the Togolese government has implemented a series of reforms and programs aimed at improving access to and the quality of education for all citizens.

To reduce financial barriers to education, the government has introduced free schooling programs. These programs enable a greater number of children, especially those from disadvantaged families, to access primary and secondary education without tuition fees. This initiative aims to increase enrollment rates and ensure that every child has an equal opportunity to receive a basic education.

The government of Togo is investing heavily in the construction of new schools and the modernization of existing infrastructure. These efforts include building new schools, renovating infrastructure, equipping schools, and integrating Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).

To improve the quality of education, the government is integrating ICT into the educational system through teacher training, access to digital resources, and the provision of computer equipment.

The efforts made by President Faure Gnassingbé to strengthen the education sector demonstrate a clear commitment to creating a better future for Togolese children. By removing financial barriers, improving infrastructure, and integrating ICT, the Togolese President’s vision is making significant progress towards an inclusive and quality educational system. These initiatives will contribute not only to the individual development of students but also to the socio-economic development of the entire country.
