Burkina Faso/Transition: President Ibrahim Traoré begins his new term in serenity

According to the amended transitional charter from the National Assizes on May 25th in Ouagadougou, the President of Faso, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, begins his additional five-year mandate granted by his compatriots this Tuesday, July 2, 2024.

Despite numerous attempts by adversaries to prevent this, the significant day has arrived, and the president will continue his noble mission calmly. This mission involves liberating his country and compatriots from the yoke of enemies (both terrorists and imperialists), not to mention the stateless individuals and their propagandist accomplices who aim not only for the downfall of Captain Ibrahim Traoré but also for the destruction of the country, reminiscent of the events of 1987.

Simply because the Head of State has chosen to serve the people rather than    bow to the whims of imperialists. After multiple attempts to first obstruct the National Assizes, they then tried to influence the decision of the nation’s active forces. Fortunately, the conscious people of Faso did not need much time to decide the future of the transition.

The trust President Ibrahim Traoré inspires in his compatriots led to his overwhelming endorsement as the head of the country after just a few hours of discussion. Furthermore, he earned the title « President of Faso » and was allowed to run in the next presidential election at the end of his transitional five-year mandate.

President of Faso is the hope of the Burkinabe people and can therefore continue the projects initiated over a year ago, notably in terms of security with the fight against terrorism, the reconquest of the entire national territory, and the socioeconomic development of the country.

The president firmly adheres to his vision of restoring the Burkinabe people’s dignity, freedom, and sovereignty through struggle and determination. The entire population’s support for this vision will enable the country to withstand any threat and achieve its goals.
