Burkina Faso: Popular meeting on May 11; the necessity of massive mobilization
The policy implemented by the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, to pull Burkina Faso out of the security deadlock deserves the support of the entire Burkinabe people, especially patriots desiring to live in a country rid of criminal groups that sow panic. As such, a coalition composed of several patriotic associations is calling for an unprecedented mobilization this Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the municipal stadium of Ouagadougou.
The objective is to demonstrate to the national and international public opinion the total endorsement of the people for the transitional governance.
According to the organizers of this demonstration, it is true that several advancements have already been made in the war to reconquer the national territory. However, it takes time to finish the job. « For over 10 years, the evil that plagues us has had all the time to entrench itself. Thus, its annihilation cannot be immediate. It takes necessary time to effectively and definitively address the terrorist hydra and its economic and humanitarian corollary », they argue.
Furthermore, it is essential for Burkinabe to prove to the world stage that they are a united and indivisible people who cannot succumb to the maneuvers of manipulation and division by the enemies of Burkina Faso. Rather, they intend to maintain social cohesion until the end of the struggle behind the transition led by Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
