Togo: President Faure Gnassingbé engages in interreligious and Economic dialogue with Revival Ministries International

As part of its active diplomacy and diversification of partnerships, the President of the Republic of Togo, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, granted an audience to a delegation from Revival Ministries International (RMI), a Christian organization based in the United States. This meeting, which took place on Thursday, May 2nd in Lomé, was in the context of the conclusion of the ‘Africa Tour’ activity organized by RMI from April 30th to May 1st at the Palais des Congrès in Lomé.

During this audience, Dr. Rodney Howard-Browne, the leader of the organization, had the opportunity to present to the head of state the activities of RMI and to share the objectives of their presence in Togo. He emphasized: « We came to Togo with three clear objectives: to strengthen the church without distinction of obedience, to support entrepreneurial initiatives, and to consolidate our relations with the government ».

The Africa Tour, an initiative organized in seven countries including Togo, aims to create a space for interaction between various stakeholders, ranging from religious leaders to economic investors. In addition to its spiritual aspect, this event promotes economic exchanges and international partnerships.

President Faure Gnassingbé’s decision to grant an audience to RMI reflects the importance he attaches to interreligious cooperation and initiatives aimed at promoting the socio-economic development of his country. By opening the doors of the government to organizations such as RMI, the President demonstrates his willingness to diversify Togo’s partnerships and to promote inclusive dialogue with a plurality of national and international actors.

This meeting between President Faure Gnassingbé and Revival Ministries International thus marks an important step in strengthening relations between Togo and organizations based in the United States, while highlighting the commitment of the Togolese government to interreligious dialogue and economic development.
