Burkinabe athlete Hugues Fabrice Zango won the gold medal in triple jump at the Eure meeting in France on Sunday, January 28, 2024, with a jump of 17.15m, his first award of 2024.
For his first outing at the World Athletics Games, the three-time Burkinabe jumper Hugues Fabrice Zango, won the gold medal tonight at the Eure meeting in France with a jump of 17.15m.
He beat the Cuban Lazaro Martinez, (16m81) and the Algerian Yasser Mohammed Triki (16m66). Hugues Fabrice Zango, had finished first at the World Athletics Championship in Budapest in August 2023 and defended his doctoral thesis in December of the same year.
