Niger/ Cooperation : China announces a new era in diplomatic relations with partner states
In a statement, the Ambassador of China to Niger, Jiang Feng, expressed Beijing’s commitment to developing bilateral relations with the two countries, continually strengthening political trust, deepening practical cooperation, and making positive contributions to the construction of a shared future community for humanity.
According to the diplomat, « The world is undergoing rapid transformation, and changes in the world, in the times, and in history are unfolding in an unprecedented manner. The world has entered a new period of turbulence and transformation. However, the direction of humanity’s development and progress will not change, the general trend of the winding advance of world history will not change, and the great trend toward a shared future for the international community will not change ».
Despite the geographical distance between China and Niger, the two peoples are closely connected by a very deep and sincere friendship. « Building a shared future community for humanity is the essence of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Diplomacy. It is also a proposal that China has put forward, based on an increasingly profound understanding of the laws of human societal development, to answer the question of what kind of world to build and how to build it. It reflects the worldview, the perception of order, and the values of the Chinese Communists, corresponds to the common aspiration of all peoples, and shows the direction of the progress of civilizations in the world. Projects such as the General Seyni Kountché Bridge, the Niamey General Referral Hospital, and oil exploration and exploitation projects are among the fruits of Sino-Nigerien cooperation, significantly contributing to the economic and social development of Niger, according to the Chinese diplomat.
