According to reports, President Emmanuel Macron has sought the support of Alassane Ouattara to use Ghana’s President as an intermediary to reach Burkina Faso. Alassane Ouattara’s mission would be to persuade Nana Akufo-Addo to reduce the energy supply line to Burkina Faso, a pressure that the Ghanaian President seems to be resisting.
Nana Akufo-Addo appears to be choosing to maintain his position as a loyal partner to his Burkinabe counterpart, Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
