Burkina Faso/the Forge People’s Destiny : Officials offer 1% of their monthly salaries to support the war effort
In Burkina Faso, the unified contribution of the people and the diaspora, believing in the vision and determination of President Ibrahim Traoré, has enabled the deployment of considerable resources in the fight against terrorism. Today, thanks to this collective determination, terrorists are being pursued from all sides and are retreating.
To consolidate this significant progress, President Ibrahim Traoré, during his speech commemorating the independence in December 2023, called for an increase in the contribution to the war effort for the year 2024. According to information, the funds collected will play a crucial role in supporting Volunteers for the defense of the homeland and will contribute to the «patriotic support fund », intended for the equipment of the national armed forces deployed on various fronts.
Some officials, aware that the responsibility for liberating Burkina Faso from insecurity also lies with the people themselves, have taken the initiative to actively contribute by allocating 1% of their monthly salaries. This is aimed at supporting the war effort without resorting to external requests, to face foreign powers that plunder resources and wealth, leading to the impoverishment of the country.
In this regard, the Burkinabe people salute the patriotism of these officials and call on all their counterparts to follow suit. No sacrifice is deemed excessive to liberate Burkina Faso from the terrorist threat. The dynamism of President Ibrahim Traoré, aiming for a free, prosperous, sovereign, and developed Burkina Faso, must be supported by all Burkinabe citizens.
The entire Burkinabe nation must consolidate and demonstrate its commitment to the sovereignty of Burkina Faso, as affirmed by the country’s authorities, through concrete actions. From this moment on, the remarkable resilience of the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), and all the fighting forces is acknowledged for their tireless efforts in the field, contributing to the return of peace and fullness to Burkina Faso.
