Burkina Faso/Fight against terrorism: The last hours of 2023 at the front

The last hours of the year 2023 were extremely critical and tragic for terrorists on various battlefields. Specifically, the day of Sunday, December 31, was bloody for these criminals who thought they could take advantage of the inattention of the fighting forces on the eve of the New Year.

They were mistaken and offered themselves as a New Year’s gift to the Burkinabe fighters. According to reports, several terrorists joined their accomplices in hell on Sunday, the eve of the new year.

Firstly, in the morning of this day of grace for the Burkinabe fighters, terrorists in motion between Silgadji and Kelbo in the Sahel and the North of Faso were neutralized. Even the fleeing ones could not escape the wrath of the aerial vectors.

Later in the day, other wrongdoers who were preparing to sow devastation on January 1, 2024, among the population of Mené and Yondé near Ouargaye, had their journey cut short, and their ambition annihilated forever. Back to the sender, as is often said.

Others had the chance to experience the first hours of the year 2024 before leaving the land of the living to join their comrades in hell. According to security information relayed by AIB, a joint military operation between ground units and aerial vectors on January 1st succeeded in neutralizing many terrorists in the East of Burkina Faso.

These criminals dared to attack a humanitarian convoy in the Sakoani area towards Kantchari. This well-escorted convoy by rapid intervention battalions was defended against the assailants who were neutralized. The aerial vectors took care of the fleeing ones.

The fight continue on all fronts to completely annihilate these criminals. Everyone’s contribution would be a cornerstone for building security, stability, and peace in the land of the Upright People, in the Sahel, and even in West Africa.
