Africa: Triumphant Re-election of President Félix Tshisekedi, Congratulations from H.E. Faure Gnassingbé
H.E. Faure Gnassingbé conveyed his congratulations in the following terms : « Warm congratulations to my brother and friend, His Excellency Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, following his re-election to the highest office in the DRC, in accordance with the results of the Electoral Commission ».
The outgoing Congolese President has been re-elected in a landslide, securing his new five-year mandate. The Independent National Electoral Commission credited President Félix Tshisekedi with 73.34% of the votes, cementing his uncontested victory with a significant lead over his opponents.
The Congolese people’s confidence in President Félix Tshisekedi’s re-election was evident, and he also received congratulations from the Togolese leader, H.E. Faure Gnassingbé. The Togolese President expressed his congratulations by highlighting his belief that this new mandate will contribute to strengthening the historical bonds of friendship, brotherhood, and cooperation between the two nations.
He expressed confidence that this new mandate will provide a precious opportunity to further strengthen relations between Togo and the DRC.
The Togolese President added: « I am convinced that this new mandate offers us the opportunity to continue strengthening the historical bonds of friendship, brotherhood, and cooperation between our countries. I extend heartfelt wishes for peace, stability, and harmony to the brotherly people of Congo ».
