Togo / President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé at the 4th G20 Compact With Africa Summit: A Strong Commitment to Promoting Private Investments for the African Economy

President of the Republic, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, has once again distinguished himself through his unwavering commitment to the economic development of Africa, particularly Togo, by actively participating in the 4th G20 Compact with Africa (G20-CwA) summit being held this Monday, November 20, in Berlin.

This high-level meeting, attended by around twenty leaders from reform-minded African countries and representatives of international organizations, is a clear demonstration of the importance the President places on promoting private investments to stimulate economic growth.

President Gnassingbé was invited by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to participate in this crucial initiative aimed at strengthening economic cooperation between African countries and Germany. During this summit, the Togolese Head of State will share the significant successes of the reforms implemented in recent years by Togo, thereby illustrating the country’s ability to create an environment conducive to private investments.

The presence of the Togolese President at a conference on German private investments in Africa underscores his commitment to fostering strong partnerships between Togo and Germany, paving the way for new mutually beneficial economic opportunities. Discussions, focused on key sectors such as energy, demonstrate President Gnassingbé’s willingness to diversify investment areas to maximize economic benefits.

Togo, as the 12th country to join the Compact With Africa pact launched in 2017 by G20 countries under the impetus of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, demonstrates its commitment to implementing investment-friendly reforms.

President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé thus plays a key role in realizing the objectives of this initiative, contributing to strengthening investor confidence and spurring economic growth in Africa.
