Burkina Faso/ The Government of Burkina Faso is committed to the health of its people: Dengue rapid diagnostic tests now free
Dengue rapid diagnostic tests are free of charge for various public care facilities, including University Hospitals (CHU), Regional Hospitals, Medical Centers with Surgical Antenna (CMA) and Medical Centers (CM). These tests are prescribed by qualified and competent health professionals, in accordance with current technical guidelines, ensuring quality care for all patients.
Under the presidency of Ibrahim Traoré, the Burkinabe government has made the health of its population an indisputable priority. This determination to improve the quality of health care is clearly illustrated by a recent announcement by the Minister of Health, Jean Claude Kargougou, which demonstrates the commitment to the health of the people of Burkina Faso.
In a statement, Minister Kargougou revealed an important measure to fight the Dengue epidemic that is currently raging; rapid diagnostic tests (TDR) Dengue fever is now available free of charge in the country’s public health centres until the end of the epidemic.
This strategic decision demonstrates the government’s commitment to protecting the health of its citizens, even in times of health crisis. Given the low availability of these tests on the international market, the Ministry of Health has taken steps to ensure their accessibility within the public health system.
This decision clearly illustrates the determination of the Burkinabe government to make the health of its people a priority, thus ensuring that every citizen can benefit from quality care, especially during health crises such as the Dengue epidemic. Compassion, access to care and guidance to appropriate medical practices demonstrate that Burkina Faso, under the presidency of Ibrahim Traoré, is committed to caring for its citizens.
