Togo: Minister Kokoroko reminds teachers of the fundamental values of republican education

The Minister for Primary and Secondary Education, Professor Dodji Kokoroko, has called on all those involved in education to respect the Convention on the Rights of the Child, ratified by Togo, and the Togolese Children’s Code, or face sanctions.

The pattern! For some time, according to the minister in charge of basic education, degrading content exposing children with difficulty pronunciation and cilrculent articulation on networks. For Minister Kokoroko, this humiliating practice is at odds with the texts in force in Togo.

Any teacher must respect and preserve the dignity and well-being of the child in accordance with the laws or will be exposed to the severe penalties provided by the penal code in case of attack on the moral or psychological integrity of the child.

Professor Kokoroko therefore urges teachers to comply with the code of staff of schools and technical and vocational training centers. This code obliges the actors of the education system to respect the dignity and integrity of the child and to respect the laws governing the sector.

The Minister also relies on everyone’s commitment to their mission for the best interests of learners.
