Burkina Faso: Wise advice from captain Ibrahim Traoré to the national council of the elderly

Older persons embody several values and experiences, including conscience, prudence, sincerity, loyalty, discipline, fidelity, discernment and skill. The young generation of Burkina-Faso needs the wise men.

With this in mind, the President of the Burkinabe Revolution, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, invited the Council of Elders of Burkina-Faso to set an example for young people and to work to pass on to them the moral values that are the foundation of social cohesion and peace.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré recognises the importance of wise men in society. Humble leader that he is, he went to meet representatives of the elderly from the thirteen regions of Burkina Faso. In a convivial atmosphere, the elderly reiterated their commitment to support President Ibrahim Traoré, by playing their part to promote peace and harmony.

The efforts of Captain Ibrahim Traoré to restore territorial integrity have been recognised by the elderly of Burkina Faso. With firm determination, the elderly reaffirmed their strong involvement in the management of customary and community conflicts. They confirmed their commitment to Captain Traoré by making a financial contribution to the war effort.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré took an oath to defend Burkina-Faso at the risk of his life. «When the nation is in peril, it goes without saying that we take our responsibilities and assume them fully» said the President of the Burkina Faso Revolution.
