Burkina Faso / Coup d’Etat foiled: An act of treason against the people – The manipulation of certain French media
The Burkinabe government has confirmed that it thwarted a coup attempt, as mentioned earlier in our writings. The intelligence and security agencies, as well as the people of Burkina Faso, reacted quickly to counter this insidious threat that could have plunged the country into chaos and distress.
This attempt to overthrow the government, hatched by corrupt officers acting in the service of foreign interests and their own personal ambitions, is an act of betrayal to the people of Burkina Faso.
President Ibrahim Traoré, works tirelessly for the well-being of all Burkinabe, without distinction. His commitment to national sovereignty and the fight against terrorism has been unequivocal.
The government of Transition, in its statement, stressed that the authors of this despicable plot were seeking to undermine republican institutions and disrupt the march of the Burkinabe people towards sovereignty and the total liberation of terrorist threats to the country.
Faced with this difficult task, it is crucial to remain vigilant with regard to the information disseminated by certain French media, which, although financed and installed in Paris, present themselves under African-sounding names.
These media defend foreign interests, unfortunately contribute to the spread of false information or the manipulation of public opinion. Their objective would be to sow confusion, to divide the people, in order to destabilize the country by questioning the legitimacy of its institutions.
Therefore, it is imperative for Burkinabe citizens to exercise critical discernment when consuming information and not to be manipulated by dubious sources.
