Shakira: The Star Takes On Her Ex-Father-in-Law and Features Her Children’s Babysitter in Her New Music Video

Singer Shakira is making headlines in the media with her new music video. In this video, she clearly expresses her dissatisfaction with her former father-in-law and invites her children’s babysitter.

Shakira appears to be using music to convey her emotions and perhaps address certain personal matters. This decision to feature her ex-father-in-law and involve her children’s babysitter in her video is drawing the attention of fans and the media. It is common for artists to draw inspiration from their own lives to create art, and this seems to be the case for Shakira in this new project.

In her latest song titled «El Jefe»Shakira pays tribute to her children’s babysitter and takes a swipe at her former father-in-law.

Shakira unveiled the music video for her new song«El Jefe» («The Boss») in collaboration with the American-Mexican group Fuerza Regida. The lyrics once again reference her past and her relationship with her ex-partner Gerard Piqué.

This time, the Colombian singer doesn’t directly target the former FC Barcelona central defender, Gerard Piqué, but rather his father, Joan Piqué. She sings, «They say there’s no pain that lasts more than a hundred years, but my ex-father-in-law is still here and hasn’t set foot in the grave.»

In her music video, you can also see Lili Melgar, the former babysitter of her sons, Milan and Sasha, to whom she pays tribute and dedicates this song. At the end of the song, Shakira says, «Lili Melgar, this song is for you, for which they didn’t pay you compensation.»

This statement is once again related to the footballer. According to several reports, Gerard Piqué allegedly fired the Bolivian nanny without giving her the severance pay she was owed. Additionally, Lili Melgar is said to have helped the singer gather evidence to confirm her ex’s infidelity.
