Burkina Faso is going through a critical period, marked by considerable security and humanitarian challenges. In recent years, the country has witnessed massive population displacements, demonstrating the urgency of collective mobilization and the union of all the vital forces of the nation to preserve peace.

In this context, the Government of Burkina Faso is launching a vibrant appeal to all Burkinabe, regardless of their origin, age, profession, religion, rite or political affiliation. It is a question of becoming aware of the gravity of the current situation, of taking a step back from the difficult events that the country is going through, and of sharing a moment of collective reflection. It is crucial that every citizen realizes that the only way to a better future is peace.

Peace is not only the absence of armed conflict, but also peaceful coexistence, mutual understanding and respect for differences. It is a precious asset that every Burkinabe must cherish and protect. The cultural and religious diversity that characterizes Burkina Faso must be seen as a wealth, not as a factor of division.
