Burkina-Faso: Some thirty terrorists neutralized and more than a dozen captured in the Eastern region

The enemy forces have just suffered huge losses again. Thirty of their own perished under the fire of the fighting forces. According to security sources, GUMI (elite unit of the national police)  in collaboration with the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP) eliminated a group of attackers in Yamba (Gourma) in the region of East. They also captured at least 13 terrorists.

 In Burkina, the war against terrorism and the reconquest of the entire national territory is in full swing. the forces committed to the cause, tirelessly continue the fighting, in order to put out of harm’s way, all these criminals, who refuse to seize the outstretched arm of the authorities and join the republic.

This Friday, August 26, 2023, a collaboration of the elite unit of the national police (GUMI) of the national police and the VDP made it possible to neutralize at least 30 terrorists in Yamba in the province of Gourma, Eastern region.

 In addition to the 30 neutralized terrorists, 13 others were captured. The patriotic coalition also recovered stolen oxen, weapons, food and motorcycles and various other recovered materials.

As a reminder the 7th GUMI in Diougo Yourga (Koulpelogo province, Center-East region) achieved great exploits on Saturday August 19, 2023, by eliminating around forty terrorists and seizing equipment from the hands of terrorists. during the operation, this unit had unfortunately recorded 5 losses.
