During the friendly match against AC Milan in Las Vegas, the Catalan coach left the 26-year-old winger on the bench.
The Catalans beat the Rossoneri 1-0 thanks to a goal from Ansu Fati. Speaking at the post-match press conference, Xavi Hernandez announced his player’s departure for Paris Saint-Germain.
«I wish Ousmane Dembélé all the best at PSG. He’s given us so much. Of course, I tried to convince him to stay, but he told me he’d spoken to Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Luis Enrique. We couldn’t convince him, it’s his final decision», Xavi Hernandez told TV3.
