We now know when the 2023 Ballon d’Or award ceremony will take place. France Football, which organises the event, has just announced the date, with just one match remaining in the 2022/23 season.
The Champions League final between Manchester City and Inter Milan this Saturday (7pm GMT) will mark the end of the 2022/23 season, which has been rich in spectacle and suspense. But fans will have to wait a little longer before knowing Karim Benzema’s successor.
France Football has just announced that the ceremony will take place on 30 October at the Théâtre du Chatelet, as usual.
As for the date of the announcement of the nominations for all the awards, the nominees for the Socrates Prize will be known on 7 July, the lists of the 30 nominees for the men’s and women’s Ballon d’Or and those for the Yacine and Kopa trophies will all be known on 6 September.
