Burkina Faso: Strong mobilization in support of Captain Ibrahim Traoré in Mouhoun
This weekend in Dédougou, the stakeholders of the Mouhoun province mobilized in a massive demonstration to show their support to the authorities of the Transition, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), and the volunteers of homeland defense (VDP).
During the strong mobilization that attracted a large crowd at the «Place Melon Gare» in Dédougou, the demonstrators, in a show of solidarity, raised the sum of nine hundred thirty thousand two hundred (930,200) CFA francs on-site.
They handed this sum over to the representative of the commander of the 5th military region in support of the FDS and VDP.
The demonstration began with the singing of the national anthem, with flags of Burkina Faso, Russia, and the brotherly country of Mali in hand, to demonstrate their collective commitment to unwaveringly support Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the Transitional government, the FDS, and the VDP in their fight against terrorism in Burkina Faso.
Prior to the large meeting that gathered a crowd, the youth marched through certain streets of the city, waving the different flags and chanting slogans in support of the «War Leader, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, President of the Transition, » the Transitional authorities, and the FDS and VDP.
The coordinator of the demonstration, Mr. Fatin Tébo, stated that the mobilization of the sons and daughters of the «Boucle du Mouhoun region» clearly demonstrates their determination to stand united with all the fighting forces to drive the Forces of evil, which have been causing us sorrow for nearly a decade, out of the borders of Burkina.
He continued by saying, « Our mobilization demonstrates our unwavering commitment and determination to show our unwavering support to Captain Ibrahim Traoré and the entire transition in their relentless fight against the terrorist threat. We, the stakeholders of the Boucle du Mouhoun region, have decided to fulfill our mission, which is to accompany without conditions and unite behind the Commander-in-Chief, the Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, and his troops in their commitment to make our beloved country a haven of peace for all its people. »
Furthermore, the coordinator of the demonstration expressed the gratitude of the population of Mouhoun region to the President of the Transition for the numerous actions undertaken in the region, which bring hope to everyone.
He also reassured that the population fully supports the fighting forces engaged in reclaiming the national territory.
He declares, «To you, fighting forces, be reassured and convinced of our support and commitment to accompany you tirelessly on the path to reclaiming the entirety of our territory and ensuring the peace of our people. You who are engaged day and night, risking your lives, your sacrifice will not be in vain. »
All the participants of the meeting, including representatives of the elderly, youth, women, and internally displaced persons, demonstrated their commitment to supporting the authorities of the Transition in various initiatives to combat terrorism, reclaim the territory, and facilitate the return of internally displaced persons to their communities.
Likewise, the youth were urged to unite further in order to resist corruption and emphasize civic vigilance to report any suspicious cases, making good use of social media to avoid disseminating destabilizing information about the country.
