Burkina Faso: Will ECOWAS let itself be trapped by France, which is increasing its attempts to foment civil war in Burkina Faso?

In its attempts to destabilize the Burkinabè transition and gain free reign to exploit Burkinabè resources at will, France is seeking an intermediary who can help sow discord in Burkina Faso. It appears that this ally is none other than the President of the ECOWAS, Umaro Sissoco Embalo of Guinea-Bissau.

By chance, the Guinean-Bissauan, Umaro Sissoco Embalo, is of the Fulani ethnicity, and his reaction suggests that he is working to validate the civil war, which France is preparing through manipulations.

For instance, we have video editing, all kinds of atrocities against the Fulani community through terrorists disguised as soldiers, and above all, disinformation.

Actually, the former colonizer has more than one trick up its sleeve to undermine Burkina Faso, whose authorities have decided to break away from the military agreements that bind them but prevent them from waging a proper war against terrorism.

The departure of French troops was a real blow to terrorist groups, who found themselves disoriented and in a position of  weakness, with the FDS (Security and Defense Forces) regaining control of the situation thanks to the modern equipment made available to them.

It is a power struggle that does not bode well for the imperialist power that wanted to maintain insecurity in the country.

With the collaboration of French media and some Burkinabe individuals, including some Peul leaders themselves bribed by France, the goal is to stir up reactions from international organizations such as ECOWAS.

The use of the term «genocide» by the President of the West African community regarding the killings in Karma may indeed play into the hands of France, which hopes to provoke intercommunal conflicts and subsequently deploy a UN force in the country, in which it will inevitably participate.

For some opinion leaders, Umaro Embalo Sissoco’s statement is a curious reaction, given all the ambushes and cowardly attacks that the fighting forces have suffered in recent weeks, without any condemnation or approach to a solution from this institution.

Is the life of thousands of Burkinabe who were killed since 2015 by terrorists not equally valuable as Fulanis killed in Karma.

It is urgent that the Heads of State and citizens of the ECOWAS space act promptly so that the Guinean President does not turn the institution into a tool that France can manipulate at will to accomplish its diabolical designs in the sub-region.
