Ivory Coast: « young Ivorians are called to raise awareness for elections without violence »; an opinion shared by Mr. Adama Bictogo

The president of the Mission of Citizen Conscience (MICOCI) Dah Dihignité Sansan urged young Ivorians not to be killed for electoral issues. Dah Dihignité Sansan made this exhortation during the solemn re-entry of his organization. This point of view was shared and supported by the President of the National Assembly, Mr. Adama Bictogo. The Mission of Citizen Conscience (MICOCI) led by Dah Dihignité Sansan, returned to school on November 12, 2022 in Abidjan, under the theme « J-Cop 25: Youth, civic conscience, peaceful elections in 2023 and 2025: 30 years of stories of the Ivorian crises”.

The first leader of Micoci invited young Ivorians to show maturity by renouncing electoral violence “The problems for which we have set up Micoci are urgent problems. As we are on the eve of the 2023 and 2025 elections, I refuse that in 2023, there will still be slogans like, take to the streets, I refuse that there should be words like « Gbagbo’s Yopougon » or again “ Ado’s Abobo” insisted Dah Dihignité Sansan. Several youth organizations and distinguished guests took part in this solemn return of the Micoci. Adama Bictogo, President of the National Assembly, as well as his representative Mr. Kouakou Kouadio reaffirmed the support of this institution to Micoci. The youth representative of the African Peoples’ Party Côte d’Ivoire (PPA-CI), Yannick Lahoua delivered the message of his political formation. For him, it is time to turn his back on violence.
