Burkina Faso: What Their Excellencies, Olivia ROUAMBA and Pingrenoma ZAGRE Said to Each Other.
The Ambassador of Burkina Faso to Ghana, H.E. Mr. Pingrenoma ZAGRE, recalled for consultation in Ouagadougou, had a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E Olivia ROUAMBA.
H.E. Mr. Pingrenoma ZAGRE said that this is a visit to report to the Minister on the actions taken in Accra. “On the instructions of the Minister, we have officially seized the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ghana to express the astonishment and incomprehension of our country at the words of the Ghanaian President.”The head of Burkinabe diplomacy said that “Burkina Faso wanted to recall its ambassador in protest. Such words are unacceptable coming from a friendly country with which we have historical and fraternal ties.” Minister ROUAMBA added that it is mainly a question of evoking the arrangements to be taken for the continuation of relations between the two countries.
As a reminder, the Ghanaian President, Nana AKUFO-ADDO, at the US-Africa summit in Washington insinuated that Burkina Faso uses the Russian company Wagner in the fight against terrorism. He also suggested that a mine in southern Burkina Faso had been offered to the Russian private military group in return for its services.
