Karim Benzema returns to training after brief injury concerns: Positive signs for Al-Ittihad

Karim Benzema, the French striker, has recently faced injury concerns, but fortunately, the setback seems less severe. It comes as good news for the 36-year-old forward. Having missed two matches for Al-Ittihad against Al-Hilal, resulting in losses, Benzema is back in collective training.

Al-Ittihad shared images of Karim Benzema participating in training alongside his teammates, and the player subsequently posted them on social media.

The photos depict Benzema actively engaged in a training session under the watchful eye of his coach Marcelo Gallardo.

These reassuring images confirm that the former Real Madrid player is in good health, alleviating any excessive concerns.

Despite this positive development, it remains uncertain whether the 2022 Ballon d’Or winner will participate in the upcoming league match against Al-Okhdood on Friday at 18:00. The decision is yet to be finalized.

Al-Ittihad has experienced a series of poor performances lately, currently holding the fifth position in the Saudi Pro League standings.

Karim Benzema, who joined Al-Ittihad in the summer of 2023, is under contract with the Saudi club until 2026.

While the former French international boasts commendable personal statistics, he has faced challenges in winning unanimous support within the Saudi club.
