The Stakes of the Presidential Tour of the CNSP-Niger

The President of the National Council for the Salvation of the People (CNSP), the transitional president in Niger, General Abdourahamane TIANI, made visits on Thursday, November 23rd, first to Bamako in Mali, and then to Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso.

In Bamako as well as in Ouagadougou, fruitful exchanges were held between the statesmen, Colonel Assimi GOÏTA, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, and their host, Brigadier General Abdourahamane TIANI. The one-on-one discussions were followed by broader exchanges involving delegations from the various parties.

At the heart of the discussions were the bilateral relations and cooperation among the three Sahelian states (Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger) within the Alliance of the Sahel States (AES). The discussions revolved around exploring ways and means to strengthen bilateral and tripartite relations.

The aim was to collectively find solutions to the common challenges faced by the three countries in terms of security, as well as in the realm of economic and social development of their respective nations, for the greater interests of the brotherly peoples and the absolute sovereignty of these states

The major concern within this alliance remains the reconquest of the Sahel region known as the zone of three borders, which is a promised land according to the Nigerien president, General Abdourahamane TIANI. A promised land, the complete liberation of which will guarantee prosperity for the peoples of the three countries.

This tour was also an opportunity for the influential figure from Niger to express his heartfelt gratitude to the people and authorities of Burkina Faso and Mali for their acts of support and solidarity they displayed at a time when other countries in the sub-region were contemplating a military aggression against his country.
