Burkina Faso: Bobo-Dioulasso University Hospital strengthened by a significant donation of biomedical equipment
The Sourou-Sanou University Hospital Center (CHUSS) in Bobo-Dioulasso received a substantial delivery of state-of-the-art biomedical equipment on Friday morning. This provision, coordinated by the national coordinator of the Presidential Health Initiative (IPS), Drissa Traoré, falls within the instructions of the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, aimed at improving healthcare services.
The medical equipment is destined for several of the hospital’s specialized departments, including cardiology, neurosurgery, hepatogastroenterology, pediatrics, and maternity.
It comprises advanced technology such as an operating microscope, ultrasound machines, modern operating tables, incubators, a fibroscan, and an autoclave steam sterilizer.
Complementing this mobile equipment, CHUSS has also benefited from the installation of two vital permanent infrastructures: a medical vacuum production plant and a medical air production plant.
These facilities will strengthen the technical capacity of the hospital for surgical procedures and intensive care.
This initiative is accompanied by a complete renovation of the concerned departments, demonstrating an integrated approach to improving patient reception and treatment conditions.
The objective is clear: to raise the quality standards of care and meet the growing needs of the population in the country’s second-largest city.
