Burkina Faso: Diplomats contribute to national rebuilding effort in show of solidarity

The “Faso Mêbo” initiative, a major public works campaign launched by Captain Ibrahim Traoré, continues to attract widespread support from citizens, foreign partners, and state authorities alike.
In a notable display of solidarity, the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation, and Burkinabe Abroad contributed to the national effort on August 27.
Diplomats and administrative personnel donated 20 million CFA francs and 11 tons of cement to support the project, which aims to build and rehabilitate infrastructure across the country.
This gesture highlights the growing engagement of civil servants and citizens in President Traoré’s vision for national refoundation.
The Faso Mêbo initiative has become a catalyst for collective action, symbolizing a renewed sense of shared responsibility and national cohesion.
Under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the initiative has evolved beyond mere infrastructure development into a broader movement seeking to unify the country.
It reflects a shift in paradigm, where every citizen whether at home or abroad is encouraged to actively participate in shaping the nation’s future.
The contribution from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is among the latest in a series of donations from both public institutions and private individuals, demonstrating popular support for the government’s rebuilding agenda.
