Mali: The FAMa continue their crushing advance against terrorists in Kayes and Nara

The Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) have just dealt a major blow to terrorist groups in the Kayes and Nara regions. Within just a few days, two coordinated operations succeeded in neutralizing several terrorist cells, destroying their bases, and regaining control of strategic areas that had long been under threat.

This military success marks a profound shift in approach. Gone are the days when the Malian army merely reacted to enemy attacks. Under the leadership of the new authorities, the FAMa are now waging war with boldness and foresight. Every operation is carefully planned, targeted, and executed with striking precision.

Far from the improvisation of the past, today’s strategy is centered on the real and methodical reconquest of national territory—inch by inch. In both Kayes and Nara, the armed forces have shown that they are no longer on the defensive, but on the offensive. Cornered and destabilized, the terrorists can no longer hide, let alone regroup.

These gains are not only military. They bring renewed hope to civilian populations, who have lived for too long under the shadow of fear and insecurity. The return of the state through force also signals the return of schools, markets, healthcare, and above all, dignity.
