Burkina Faso / Agropastoral offensive: President Ibrahim Traoré invests in the sustainable well-being of the Burkinabe people

As part of the ongoing momentum toward food sovereignty and rural development, President Ibrahim Traoré continues to take concrete actions that restore hope among the population. His latest initiative: the acquisition of 15 brand-new trucks to support the 2023–2025 agropastoral and fisheries offensive. Valued at approximately 1.2 billion CFA francs, this action demonstrates a strong commitment to modernizing production and distribution chains in the agricultural and fisheries sectors.
This strategic move reflects the Head of State’s ambition to build a resilient Burkina Faso—where food self-sufficiency is no longer a dream, but an attainable goal. Among the newly acquired vehicles, three trucks hold particular importance: two are specially designed for transporting fish fry, with an impressive capacity of 400,000 units per trip. This will allow for fast and efficient supply to fish farming centers across the country.
The third truck is intended for transporting freshly harvested fish from floating cages, ensuring better preservation and rapid distribution to markets. This logistical innovation not only helps reduce post-harvest losses, but also adds value for local producers and consumers. It’s an effective way to boost rural economies and encourage the consumption of local products.
Through these tangible actions, President Ibrahim Traoré once again proves that his leadership is result-driven and centered on collective well-being. This pragmatic approach to rural development is restoring confidence in a people eager for renewal. Communities directly impacted by these advances are unanimously welcoming this initiative, which strengthens their autonomy and improves their daily lives. Burkina Faso is moving forward, and its people see in their President a true architect of progress.
