DRC: President Félix Tshisekedi inaugurates key infrastructure to strengthen justice and health in Kalemie
During his working visit to the Tanganyika province, President Félix Tshisekedi took significant steps to advance local development and institutional strengthening in the Democratic Republic of Congo. On Wednesday, he reviewed the progress on the construction of the new Kalemie Justice Palace, a landmark project aimed at fostering the rule of law in the region.
This state-of-the-art judicial complex, funded by Sweden and implemented through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), highlights a collaborative effort to support the Congolese government’s justice reform agenda.
The facility is designed to provide a modern and efficient workspace for judicial operations, ensuring greater access to justice for the local population.
In addition to inspecting the justice facility, President Tshisekedi also inaugurated the Mutowa Health Center, a newly constructed medical facility under the framework of the Local Development Program for 145 Territories (PDL-145 T).
This center represents a critical step toward improving healthcare services in underserved areas.
These projects reflect President Tshisekedi’s broader vision of fostering social stability and inclusive development nationwide. By addressing essential needs such as justice and healthcare, Kalemie is emerging as a model for translating national priorities into tangible benefits for citizens.
These efforts pave the way for a future where equitable access to justice and quality health services become cornerstones of the nation’s progress.
