Togo to host BlueInvest Africa 2025: Spotlight on sustainable blue economy investments

From October 15-16, Togo will welcome BlueInvest Africa, the continent’s premier investment forum dedicated to advancing sustainable blue economy initiatives. Hosting this EU-backed event reinforces Togo’s leadership in harnessing marine resources for regional development.

The forum will connect international investors with 25 African entrepreneurs – including a Togolese aquaporine specialist showcasing innovative projects in sustainable fishing, marine energy, aquaculture, and maritime transport.

Lomé’s selection reflects our strategic push to become West Africa’s blue economy hub,” said government representatives.

The event will catalyze funding, technical partnerships, and policy synergies to accelerate ocean-based industries.

Aligned with Togo’s national development plan, the forum underscores the country’s vision to:

  • Leverage maritime potential for ecological transition
  • Drive sovereignty through sustainable aquaculture and logistics
  • Position itself as a continental blueprint for blue growth

BlueInvest Africa 2025 marks a critical step in Africa-Europe cooperation, with Togo emerging as a key convener of the continent’s $300 billion blue economy opportunity.
